Philosophy:
Teaching children is my passion. Each individual’s holistic development is the aim of M ’N’ M Montessori Childcare centre. We provide children with choices and opportunities to initiate their own learning. M ‘N’ M Montessori Childcare Centre inspires to have home-like atmosphere, where children freely learn and grow. Also, promote safe, loving, and positive environment for the children at the centre. The utmost importance is child’s safety, nutrition, and well-being of our children. I believe that each child is an individual and building trust and security is very important with each child. Observation is the best way to create curriculum and give insight into the development, knowledge, and skill levels of each individual child. While planning my program, I would endeavor child-centered atmosphere where children learn through activities and topics that interests them. Thus, builds their self-esteem and confidence as they develop and learn. I believe a child is learning all the time and my goal is to make their learning happen through different developmental stages like physical, social/emotional, cognitive and communication.
I believe in cultural diversity. I will celebrate all cultures, religion, language, ethnicity, gender, disability, health differences, and nationality. There will be different activities performed at the centre for children to understand and accept different cultures with respect and dignity.
M ’N’ M Montessori Childcare Centre believes in supporting positive and responsive interactions among our children, parents, staff, and educators. We welcome parent’s skills, talents, traditions, and experiences.
Our Program:
The activities and lesson plan ideas focusing on the development of cognitive, gross motor, fine motor, and sensory skills. The activities are all play-based, fun, hands on and interactive. Activities are open-ended and encourage children to explore and experiment in many ways. All activities can be adapted to match each individual child’s developmental level and make use of many natural products and fun play equipment. M ‘N’ M Montessori lesson plans are posted for parents to see and are always available for viewing so that families have a good idea of exactly what educational skills their child will be working on.
In addition to the M ‘N’ M Montessori base curriculum, M ‘N’ M teachers are trained to take careful observations of each child’s likes, preferences and personal needs that are then recorded in an individual notebook. These observations are used in planning the remainder of the activities and to build a classroom environment that is full of equipment and activities that reflect the needs and interests of the children in that program.
